The quieter face of imposter syndrome

The brighter the record, the more frightened the inner room. Why does success keep feeling like a con? The title, the project, the compliments arrive, and a quieter voice still says: it was luck, and they will find you out. That failure to take achievement in is what gets called imposter syndrome.
It usually sits on a misplaced sense of worth. If love and recognition were conditional — first place, a clean performance — then success does not feel like joy. It feels like something that can be revoked.
You do not need another prize as proof. You need to look at the imaginary contract. Even when some things are still unknown, and some decisions were imperfect, you still have a worth that cannot be taken. Confidence is not the certainty that you can do everything. It is the permission not to.
