Modern dating's paradox: more choice, less capacity to love

In an app that never ends, what you hunt is no longer a living person. It is an answer that will not appear. We live in the easiest era in which to meet someone new, and urban loneliness is at a peak. The paradox of choice is part of why.

An endless list switches the mind into a consumer mode. Partners are filtered like goods: height, school, hobbies, an MBTI letter. One flaw and the thumb has already gone to the next. The algorithm of perfect keeps running, and forgets that a human bond is often built on the cracks where neither person is complete.

While you still believe the next one will be better, depth cannot start here. Love is not a return-on-investment sum. It is a decision to stay beside one person through the ordinary debris of a shared life.
