Chasing the answer after a relationship ends

Why do we wait for an apology as if it were the door out? We treat the other person's admission as the condition of healing. After betrayal or a sudden ending the mind hunts: why did you do this; did you ever love me. We want a closure, and imagine that a reasonable account would end the pain.

That is a handing-over of power. Give the key of recovery to the person who hurt you, and you stay in the room they locked. Sometimes there is no deep logic. There is immaturity, or an escape from responsibility.

Real closure is not granted. It is decided. When you see that their lack and their weakness do not define your worth, the ruin called the past can no longer hold you.
